Just another girl trying to find her place . . . all over the world.

About

A nineteen year old girl that just wasn’t happy in the life that was set out for her.

I’ve always loved traveling and I’ve known I would never be able to stay in one place for long.  I moved across the country for university and loved being in a new environment and meeting the people.  Sure, it’s the same country but the atmosphere is completely different! I want to experience the world and all it has to offer before it’s gone, or I’m gone.

So I’m taking my life into my own hands and I’m going to backpack around the world all by my lonesome.  I’ve never traveled out of North America so this will definitely be an interesting adventure.

Starting in May 2013.  I am still undecided where I will be heading but I will keep you updated.

If you want to learn about how I decided to travel click here.

If you want to contact me about anything (i.e. questions, recommendations, etc.) email me at aroundtheworldorbust@yahoo.com

  1. Looking forward to the adventures in 2013.

  2. This is so exciting! I wonder where that adventure will take you. If you need any recommendations, or just want to share stories/expectations/inspirations, I’d love to hear more about your motivations and plans! I’ll definitely keep reading, good luck!

  3. Oh I wish I was 19 again and would go backpacking around the world. There is no better thing to do in the world 🙂
Enjoy every minute and I will surely follow you!

  4. Thanks for liking my post Travelin’ in London.

  5. I think that is fantastic. And under the heading “You are never too old or too young”…I have recently decided to live full time RVing in about a year. I plan on selling my home and hitting the road along with a couple of doggies. After reading several people (older than me) and their blogs I am convinced I can do it. I am 57 and if I had listened to people who said I could or could not do things in my life I would have not done anything I believe in.
I was told I would ruin my kids if I homeschooled them. My daughter is a Pharmacist and my son is a Writer. I was told I was too old to go back to college. I graduated with a BS when I was 40 and a Masters when I was 51. I was told I was too old to retire last year but I did it and I’m fine. Therefore, I know I will hear I’m too old, a female, or whatever to full time RV but I won’t listen. You do the same. I’m looking forward to following you. I will be starting a blog soon.
    Keep the dream alive!
    Take Care,
    Joni

  6. Hi there! I just stopped by to say thank you for liking my post. I started reading your blog while I was on here and I can’t wait to follow your adventures!

  7. Hope all goes well! I, too, am a wanderlust, taking photos is my passion, so I hope to find something that involves both 🙂 I’m following your blog now and thanks for liking my picture!
